Hurling Ogs Give Six Of Their Best

Eire Og's hurlers were invited to an Ulster hurling competition involving clubs from counties Antrim, Armagh and Down.

The opponents were the hosts Saint Peter's, Keady, Derrynoose, Ballyvarley, Killeavy and Castlewellan.

At the end of the series of games the Og's had recorded 6 impressive victories.

Well done the Ogs !

Ted Gilligan R.I.P

Éire Óg Doíre Achaídh would like to express their sincere condolences to the family of Edward(Ted) Gilligan who passed away on Saturday 30th June.

Ted was a member of the Éire Óg team that won the 1948 Senior football championship (below) and held the club in deep effection.

Mass will be held next Wednesday/Tursday morning afer mass. Full details will be in the Irish news.

Éire Óg Summer Camp 2012

Éire Óg will this year be running two summer camps from the 2nd-6th July and the 9th-11th July for juveniles between the ages of 4-7 years old and 8-14 years old.

To St Anne’s pupils

Éire Óg is the GAA  Club for St Anne’s school. Most of our juvenile players are currently at the school or have been through it.  We have football and hurling teams at all ages from Under 6 right up to senior  and we are looking for new players, both boys and girls, to play in our various teams.


At  present in conjunction  with the Ulster Council we are running a  GAA accredited Fundamentals  programme for Primary 1- 5’s.  So if your child is interested in football or hurling why not come along.  Football is  on a Tuesday night,  between  6.30 – 7.30 and hurling is on a Thursday night 6.30 -7.30 both  at Woodlands  (Finaghy Road North)   For more information ring SEAN MC KENNA ON 07894305884.


Coaching is also on for every age group on Saturday mornings at Woodlands  between 10.30 – 12.00.   

 

Antrm GAA Open Night

Next Friday the 11th May every county in Ireland will host an open night in advance of the forthcoming Championships.

At Casement Park we will open the gates to allow fans - young and old - to meet the Antrim hurling and football squads, pit their skills against county players and get their autographs and photograohs.
