Easter Camp

10/04/2015Posted by Kevin Meenan

The club hosted an Easter Camp at St Luke’s school for three days over Easter. Over 20 children attended and it was encouraging to see some new faces.  All involved had a great time and enjoyed the various games and activities.  Those who attended were rewarded with a certificate and a deserved party bag.

Half-time NFL Mini-matches

Over 50 parents and children of the club attended the recent NFL game between Down and Meath at Park Esler Newry.  The U8 Footballers were privileged to play two 7 a-side matches at half-time on the pitch against Newry Shamrocks and they performed very well in front of a large crowd.  Although it was a wet night, it did not dampen spirits and the kids were delighted to hear that they managed to receive some coverage on Setanta sports as this was a live TV match.  After the match the kids dried off and headed for a much deserved McDonalds before returning home.
