We faced a tough opener against St Brigids  and while we lost by 4-11 to 2-4  the new team nevertheless played with enthusiasm and commitment which will stand us well later in the league. Encouragingly we had a panel of 24 and everyone got a game . The Ogs were represented by Jarlath Devlin, Conor Erskine Mark Hamill, Ewan Rush, Donal Mackin, Ciaran Hines, Ronald Donnelly, Eoghan Duffy Peter Corr, Sean Lagan and Adam McKenna.
Best of the Ogs was Jarlath Devlin who had a superb game at centre half forward.

Eire Og under 16s playing as part of the Clan na Gael team secured  their first win of the season with a convincing win against a battling St Malachys team . Again we had a large panel  which is fantastic for the future and encouragingly  all the Ogs under 16s attending. The team played extremely well scoring  some superb goals. Conor Erskine in particular had a great game playing in new role at corner forward  and bagging himself a brace of goals.

Our under 16s playing as part of the Clan na Gael amalgamation lost narrowly to another amalgamtaed team - Belfast Saffron's which is a merger of Davitts and St Teresa's . This was an excellent game of football and the Ogs were very much to the front with Ronan Donnelly and Eoghan  Duffy both having excellent games. Half-time NFL Mini-matches

28/03/2015Posted by Kevin Meenan

Over 50 parents and children of the club attended the recent NFL game between Down and Meath at Park Esler Newry.  The U8 Footballers were privileged to play two 7 a-side matches at half-time on the pitch against Newry Shamrocks and they performed very well in front of a large crowd.  Although it was a wet night, it did not dampen spirits and the kids were delighted to hear that they managed to receive some coverage on Setanta sports as this was a live TV match.  After the match the kids dried off and headed for a much deserved McDonalds before returning home.
