Can na gael 3-7 lamh Dhearg 3-10

Eire Og under 16s playing as part of Clan Na Gael amalgamation were in superb form at the weekend in the teams friendly against Lamh Dhearg. Ronan crossan was the star man tormenting the lamhs defence and scoring some superb points. ‎Conor Erskine  paying at full forward was also in form taking 2 goals and 2 points while Ronan Donnelly lorded midfield and Diarmuid Duffy and his brother Eoghan marshalled the full back line. With Adam Toner mark Hamill Adam McKenna and Peter Corr all to come back competition for places will be tight which is a  great position to be in.
While we narrowly lost the match this was a great performance from the Clan Na Gael team. We are now in the second year of the merger and it is now beginning to  show real benefits and hopefully this year we will get some silverware.

Clan Na Gael 4 9. St Malachys 2-11

The Ogs playing as part of the Clan Na Gael amalgamation secured a well-deserved victory over league leaders St Malachys. This avenged their 2 point defeat to St Malachys the week before and which ultimately could cost Clan Na Gael the league title. The Ogs were represented by Eoghan Duffy, Mark Hamill, Peter Corr, Ronan Donnelly, Conor Erskine, Jarlath Devlin, Donal Mackin, Dermot Laughlin and Ronan Crossan. All played their part in this great win with Conor Erskine playing particularly well scoring 2-2 from play, Eoghan Duffy leading the line in defence while Ronan Donnelly at midfield was by far the best player on show in the game. Credit also to young Ronan Crossan who came on and with his first touch sold an excellent dummy and spotted the ball over the bar form 40 yards out. A Great win to boost the team’s confidence as they get ready to face St Johns in the semi-final of the championship
