Eire Og/St Agnes 6-9 St. Teresas 2-6

South Antrim Under 12s Football League Division 2

Eire Og/St. Agnes racked up their seventh consecutive win in their league campaign against their closest rivals for the title, St Teresas at Woodlands.  This was another game where a dominant first half display effectively killed the game by half time when Ogs/Aggies led by 6-3 to 0-2.  This comfortable lead allowed for the wholesale introduction of changes at half-time to accommodate the large numbers of players who encouragingly turned up once again. Although St Teresas came back into the game in the second period, outscoring the hosts by 2-4 to 0-6, Ogs/Aggies did enough to ensure the result was never in doubt.  Another outstanding performance and result from the young lads who now only have 2 games left to win to clinch the league title.

Eire Og/St Agnes 9-9 St. Malachys 3-9

South Antrim Under 12s Football League Division 2

Eire Og/St. Agnes (Combined) made it 6 wins out of 6 with another victory against St Malachys at Woodlands.  While the final outcome was rarely in doubt, St Malachys kept in touch by making better use of the little possession they had.  The young Ogs/Aggies got off to a flyer by racking up 1-6 before their opponents got their first score.  However they took their foot off the pedal especially in a fractious 2nd half, when their opponents matched them score for score for large periods.  Having secured the league points however, the Ogs/Aggies can now look forward to their refixed encounter with un-beaten St Teresas on Monday 6th June which could well be the League decider.

27th May 2011

 Eire Og/St Agnes 2-7 O’Donnells 2-1

By all accounts, a hard competitive game this evening at Woodlands where the young Ogs/Aggies emerged with another victory in their quest for the Division 2 League title.
